The history of Rejsestalden
Rejsestalden, in the courtyard at Bredgade 20 in Herning, is mentioned as early as 1896, when Herning Missionshotel was founded. By 1898, records tell us, Rejsestalden was being extended to hold 50 horses, and the stable master at the time did good business selling horse manure. A lot has happened since.
In the 1990s, Rejsestalden was home to Denmark's first Bone’s restaurant, and over the years the building has been extended and added to. Today Rejsestalden has been fully renovated and turned into a beautiful, historic meeting and party venue. The name is the same as back then, and under the old vaulted stable ceilings you can now gather for meetings, conferences and parties.

Rejsestalden is part of Herning City Hotel. Here you can hold parties, special occasions, meetings and club events under the old vaulted stable ceilings, in the middle of Herning city centre.
You bring your own food and drink, and we provide the party venue, tables, chairs and tableware. There is a serving kitchen, a large cold room and a drop-off area, and your guests can stay at the hotel right next door.
